Greater Sudbury Police have arrested and charged two men in relation to over 20 thefts from LBCO stores.
Over the past few months, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit has been investigating multiple reports of Theft from local L.C.B.O.’s involving the same two individuals. On Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23, 2019, members of the BEAR Unit arrested and charged these men with numerous Theft Under $5,000 offences. Combined, the two men have been charged in relation to over 20 incidents, resulting in the Theft of almost $9,000 worth of merchandise.
Just before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, members of the BEAR Unit located 25-year old Myles Guitard on Marcus Drive in Greater Sudbury. He was arrested and charged on outstanding Arrest Warrants in relation to 17 Theft Under $5,000 incidents, as well as, Robbery after he attended the New Sudbury Shopping Centre on February 15, 2019, entered a store, assaulted an employee and left with merchandise that he did not pay for. The employee was not injured during the altercation.
He was held for Bail Court and was remanded into custody.
At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, members of the BEAR Unit located 32-year old Randolph Trudeau in the downtown core of Greater Sudbury. He was arrested and charged on outstanding Arrest Warrants in relation to four Theft Under $5,000 incidents, as well as, Mischief Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, and Fail to Attend Court. He was held for Bail Court.
