Police looking for driver of red truck who may have witnessed accident on MR 80

At 8:53 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, a three vehicle collision occurred on Municipal Road 80 in front of the Hanmer Mall. Just prior to the collision, the red truck (see image) pulled out from the Hanmer Mall turning West and heading towards St. Mary Boulevard. The truck did not collide with any of the other vehicles involved, however the driver may have witnessed the collision.

Multiple people including passengers and two drivers had to be extracted from their respective vehicles by Fire Services. They were transported to hospital by Paramedic Services where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

We are requesting the Public’s assistance in identifying the location or owner of the red truck and/or the driver at the time of the collision.
