The identify of the deceased person found in Junction Creek off Riverside Drive on April 11th, 2019 has been confirmed to be that of Branden Bodson-Gratton. His identity was confirm through fingerprints.
Branden was last seen on December 3, 2018 on Elm Street in Greater Sudbury.
On Monday, April 15, 2019, a post-mortem was done through the Coroner’s Office and the results confirmed that there was no trauma to the body. The cause of death has not yet been determined as there are additional tests that are required. At this point, there is no indication of foul play and Greater Sudbury Police continue to work in collaboration with the Coroner’s Office on this matter.

Updated - Police say the body of an unidentified person was removed from Junction Creek this afternoon.
A post-mortem has been scheduled for Monday.
There have been media reports that the family of 25 year old Branden Bodson-Gratton believe the discovery to be his body. Police have yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.
Police say more information will be made available follow the post-mortem and notification of to next of kin.
Original: Just after 12:05 p.m. today, Thursday, April 11, 2019, Greater Sudbury Police received a call from a community member regarding what was believed to be a body in Junction Creek off of Riverside Drive in Greater Sudbury.
Officers attended the area and confirmed that there is deceased human body at that location.
Due to the fact that the body is almost completely submerged in water, the identity and gender of the person cannot be confirmed at this time.
Uniform Officers and Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Unit are on scene.
Officers and Investigators are currently holding the scene and are unable to remove the body until the Coroner arrives.
The public is asked to avoid the area as this is an active scene and ongoing investigation.
