Seiesmic event in Greater Sudbury confirmed as mining related

UPDATE: A spokesman from Vale has confirmed that seismic event felt this evening was triggered by Garson Mine. Vale says everybody is accounted for and there were no employees underground at the time.
The company says it will assess damages once the area has been deemed safe.

People report hearing and feeling what is being described as a "stronger and louder" than usual event this evening around 5:14pm.
Earthquakes Canada has confirmed a 2.9 magnitude event at 5:08pm.
Latitude 46.46 North, Longitude 80.65 West at a depth of 10km.
Unclear at this time if it's a mining related event or an acutal earthquake.
We're awaiting response to a number or emails and will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.
